Does Your Business Computer Have Plenty of Security Software on It?
Before starting my own business, I was a System Support Specialist for 28 years. I worked to update computers, hardware and software. One of my main tasks was computer security. Now you do not have to have all kinds of security software on your computer.
I learned that you must have at least one security software loaded on your professional computer and I agree. But Mike had loaded on his computer. Many of these security software were rehearsals. He was just afraid of what could happen to his computer.
After I gave him a lesson on how the security software works. He felt good and unloaded five. But the fear was still there and I could see it in him. But I told Mike he needed to rest and make sure his computer was safe and he had to be vigilant.
That made me think of the number of people in the country who have so much security that it slows down your computer. Good to let you know and with the experience. Ultimately, you need to pay attention to the number of security software you load on your computer.
First of all, do not be afraid. Most people kill their computers because of fear. Loading a lot of security software can kill and slow down your computer. Second, today’s security technology and software is much more efficient, better controlled, and more convenient than it was 10 years ago. Third, go with your instinct. If the security software does not do the job you want to do it. Then opt for another, until you feel comfortable.
Software security is created to protect you from major problems. It’s a fact, but people are pushing their limits when it comes to their computer. In a state of mind, they must be very protected. Which one is true, but how far? Do not do too much.
In a small business, you can not afford to shut down your computer for a long time, but you should not let your fear overwhelm you and your computer. Be assured that in terms of protection, you must have security software, but you also pace yourself and do not overdo it.
If you face the dilemma of trying to determine how much you need. Talk to a technical expert you trust and ask them these questions. Feel comfortable with what they tell you. Ask questions if you do not understand and by all means, pay the price of a good software.
